I still have a ton of unprocessed photos from my visit to Deep Ellum a month ago. Seems like when we get busy at work I don’t feel much like Photoshopping when I get home. I worked on this one today, but couldn’t get it to come out any way that made me happy. When I’m in such a nitpicky mode all my exposures feel like a disaster. I hash and rehash the settings and can’t get them right. Best to put it away for a while.
Also, now I’m thinking, what is an “aster”? You know. Something can be in repair or in disrepair. A person can be affected or disaffected. Well if there’s a “disaster”, what’s the “aster”. There’s the aster, a round flower with many rays; there’s an aster-oid a sort of round chunky mini planet; there’s an aster-isk a roundish punctuation mark with points. The similarity in those words is the objects are sort of round with something sticking out; so a dis-aster would be something not round and/or without stuff sticking out, right?
